Field and Forest Farm was started by Megan and Matt in 2024 after they purchased their home on a small chunk of land in Northfield Township, Michigan. After 7 years of working as an organic farmer, Megan was eager to start her own small-scale diversified vegetable, flower, and herb farm business with her husband. Field and Forest Farm is also now the home of Megan's natural skincare business that has been in operation since 2021, Bee Line Gardens. In addition to our veggies, flowers, and edible herbs, Bee Line's loofahs and medicinal herbs that go into the natural skincare products are grown on the property as well.
Field and Forest Farm grows diversified vegetables, meaning a little of everything while it is in season, as well as cut flowers, herbs, and duck eggs from our small flock.
Our produce, flowers, and eggs are available for purchase at our farmer's market stall, or through participating in a CSA membership with us which allows you to prepay

While not officially organic certified at this time due to prohibitive costs for certification, we follow organic methods while growing all of our crops. Additionally, we till minimally and strive to become closer to no-till each year as we establish our growing spaces.
You can find us at the Ypsi Farmers Market on Saturdays from June through November.
